103D AIRLIFT WING

SPACE AVAILABLE TRAVEL

WELCOME TO THE 103D AIRLIFT WING

AIR TRANSPORTATION FUNCTION

Space Available Passengers

Roll calls are conducted 3 hours prior to departure in Building 35, Air Transportation Function.

Space Available seats are often limited, therefore, passenger planning and flexibility is key to Space Available travel.

Passengers are reminded that baggage limitations are: 2 bags per individual, limited to 70 pounds max weight per bag and not to exceed the dimensions of 62 linear inches. Passengers may have one carry-on bag and one personal item, that must fit under any aircraft seat.

We are committed to providing you the best possible service. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns during your visit.

Space Available Reminder

Per DODI 4515.13, Section 4, Paragraph 4.1.a., Reservations. There is no guarantee of transportation and reservations will not be accepted or made for any space-available traveler. The DoD is not obligated to continue an individual's travel or return the individual to the point of origin or any other point. Travelers should have sufficient personal funds to pay for commercial transportation, lodging, and other expenses if space-available transportation is not available. All associated expenses are the responsibility of the traveler.

After Hours Roll Call Policy

The following procedures only apply to Roll Call times outside our normal duty hours. Passengers are not required to call if the Roll Call time is within our normal duty hours, Monday - Thursday from 0700-1730.

Passengers who desire Space-A travel on flights with Roll Call times after duty hours, or anytime on weekends and Holidays must let us know of their intent to travel no later than 1500 the duty day prior to the flight.

To inform us of your intent to travel, please call commercial (860) 292-2579 or DSN 220-2579. When you do call, please indicate the destination and date you wish to travel and a passenger service agent will be scheduled to process that flight. For those flights with no interested passengers, the flight will be removed from advertisement by 1500 the duty day prior to the flight, and a Roll Call will not be held.

Travel Advisories

Disabled Passengers

There will be times when passengers cannot be accepted for travel aboard aircraft due to safety considerations. Passengers must be able to overcome obstacles and challenges of traveling within an aircraft. Passengers must be physically able to climb ladders, move within the aircraft without mechanical assistance (wheel chair or walker) and be able to egress the aircraft in an emergency without impeding others or requiring assistance

Shoes

In the interest of passenger safety, footwear should not increase chance of injury, hinder passenger loading, or emergency aircraft egress. The wear of open-toe or open-heel shoes is prohibited on organic aircraft. Shoes with heels are not authorized on the KC-46 but are allowed on other government aircraft as long as they have a wide base.
