LCLA--Another first for the Flying Yankees

Loadmasters assigned to the 103rd Airlift Wing prepare to drop a bundle out the back of a C-130 Hercules over the 439th Westover Air Reserve Base, Chicopee, Mass. The Flying Yankees, in coordination with the 439th, are conducting a Low Cost Low Altitude air drop. LCLA airdrops enable the C-130 to efficiently drop supplies or any crucial materials required by those on the battlefield at a below average altitude to lessen the threat to whomever may be receiving the care package.
