Wing Recognition Ceremony
Members of the 103rd Airlift Wing gathered in casual style for lunch and to enjoy some camaraderie as part of a newly formatted Annual Wing Recognition Ceremony held in the main hangar at Bradley ANG Base, East Granby, Conn. June 28, 2009. Col. Frank Detorie, commander, 103rd Airlift Wing, later addressed the Airmen and said, “This is not your father’s wing award ceremony.” Instead of the familiar and often lengthy formal formation, the more relaxed environment was used as a new approach to make the event more enjoyable for award recipients and attendees.
