Conn. Flying Yankees mark another milestone
A medical team prepares a table for a patient’s arrival at MacDill Air Force Base, Fla. March 8, 2010. The patient will be transferred to the table which is then loaded in the aircraft on a slide and onto a special medical sled. This, part of the first ever aeromedical evacuation mission for the 103rd Airlift Wing, Conn. Air National Guard. The Flying Yankee C-21s picked up patients as they arrived from overseas as well as those needing transfer from other CONUS medical facilities. (U.S. Air Force Photo by Maj. Christopher P.
