CTANG Remembers Pearl Harbor

Capt. Jefferson S. Heiland, retired Army Sgt. David Antone and Master Sgt. Scott C. Grinrod salute as Tech. Sgt. Ian P. McMahon and Chief Master Sgt. Tim Shaw, both with the 103rd Security Forces Squadron, raise an historic 48-star flag to half staff at Bradley Air National Guard Base, East Granby, Conn., Dec. 7, 2011, in honor of the 70th anniversary of the attacks on Pearl Harbor. The flag, provided by David Antone of Southington, is said to have been flown at Hickam Field, Hawaii, during World War II. A second U.S. flag that had been raised on the main mast of the USS Arizona in October 1991 as part of a re-enlistment ceremony for then Staff Sgt. Tim Shaw, 15th Security Forces Squadron, was also raised on base. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Erin McNamara)
