Col. David L. Fecso is the Deputy Commander for the 103d Airlift Wing, Connecticut Air National Guard, located at Bradley Air National Guard Base, East Granby, Connecticut. He shares responsibility with the wing commander for the operational readiness of the wing and in leading the nearly 1,200 members that make up its operational and support units as well as its geographicallyseparated unit, the 103d Air Control Squadron located in Orange, Connecticut.
Prior to this assignment, Col. Fecso was the 103d Comptroller Flight Commander and Financial Manager, responsible for all financial services, budgetary and quality assurance matters areas as well as the readiness and deployed capabilities of CTANG financial management personnel. Additionally, he served as the 103d Mission Support Group Commander, where he monitored and coordinated support activities. He provided inspection requirements oversight for the 103d Logistics Readiness Squadron, 103d Force Support Squadron, 103d Security Forces Squadron and 103d Communications Flight.
Colonel Fecso enlisted in the Connecticut Army National Guard (CTARNG) in 1987. He earned is commission through the Academy of Military Science in 1998. He served five years in CTARNG infantry and has been a CTANG member for 32 years. He was an integral part of multiple mission changes and aircraft conversions, including Air Operations Group (AOG), Centralized Intermediate Repair Facility (CIRF), C-21 and C-130. Colonel Fecso has been married to his wife Robin for 20 years and they have one child, Nathanael (15).
